Living for Zachary AED

Updated Sunday May 10, 2015 by Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse.

The Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program is the proud recipient of the Living for Zachary Automated External Defibrillator (“AED”) package.  On May 5, 2015, the Living for Zachary organization presented the Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program with an AED, which will be available to the Lovejoy Lacrosse teams during practices and games.  Living for Zachary donates AEDs to qualified organizations in the community.  AEDs play a crucial role in resuscitating someone that has collapsed due to sudden cardiac arrest.

Living for Zachary is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving young lives from sudden cardiac arrest.  The organization was founded in honor of Zachary Schrah, who was only 16 years old when he collapsed during a high school football practice on April 2, 2009.  After Zachary’s death, Living for Zachary was established to raise awareness of undiagnosed heart issues in teens.

The Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program would like to thank Mark Gonzales and the entire Living for Zachary AED Donation Committee for their generous donation to our program.

The Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program would also like to thank Mark Beaty, who applied for and worked with the Living for Zachary organization to help our program receive the AED donation.
