2016 LOVEJOY LACROSSE FOUNDER’S SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
This year, the Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program awarded the “Lovejoy Lacrosse Founder’s Scholarship” to three deserving players - Sam Beaty, Cason Kelly and Dallas Meldrum. The scholarships were awarded to each graduating Senior based upon their academic and athletic achievement, financial need, community service, and giving back to the Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse program.

Sam Beaty – No. 16 (Defenseman)
Parents: Mark and Karen Beaty
Sam has been a part of the Lovejoy Lacrosse program since the six 6th grade. Sam was one of the original Lovejoy Lacrosse players when the program started in 2009. Sam will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas on an Academic Scholarship and will be majoring in Computer Engineering.
Cason Kelly – No. 24 (Defenseman)
Parents: Chris and Chanin Kelly
Cason has been a part of the Lovejoy Lacrosse program for 2 years. Cason developed as a beginner to the game to a leader on the team. At the end of his first season, he received the Rookie of the Year award from the coaches. Cason will be attending Tarleton State University to study Animal Science.

Dallas Meldrum – No. 21 (Midfielder)
Parents: Jay and Jenn Meldrum
Dallas has been a part of the Lovejoy Lacrosse program since the 6th grade. Dallas was one of the original Lovejoy Lacrosse players when the program started in 2009. Dallas will be attending Brigham Young University, where he plans to major in Physics, and will be a part of the Air Force ROTC program. After College, he plans to be a pilot in the Air Force for at least 10 years.
