2016 Texas Draw All-Star Game & ClinicUpdated Monday June 13, 2016 by Lovejoy Leopards Lacrosse.
On June 3, 2016, Lovejoy Lacrosse hosted the 2016 Texas Draw All-Star Game and player Clinic. Lacrosse players from all around Texas and several surrounding States gathered at Willow Springs Middle School and participated in a lacrosse skills clinic. The clinic was put on by college coaches from Syracuse, Ohio State, Virginia, and 2016 National Champion North Carolina.
Following the Clinic, Texas’ most elite rising freshmen came together to defend the Lone Star State against the best 2020s from outside of Texas, in what was billed as the Texas vs. The World All-Star Game. Team Texas was coached by Joe Martin (Assistant Coach, North Carolina) and Corey Bulken (Assistant Coach, Virginia). The World Team was coached by John Desko (Head Coach, Syracuse) and Kyle Turri (Assistant Coach, Ohio State).
Two of Lovejoy’s own – Trevor Batastini and Gavin Wilson – were selected and played for Team Texas.
Lovejoy Lacrosse was honored to host the event.
