Head Coach - K/2nd Grade Team (Bantam Division)

Shawn Mural is the Head Coach of the Lovejoy Leopards Bantam Division – K/2nd grade Red Team. He has more than 30 years of lacrosse experience as a player and coach. Shawn grew up in lacrosse-rich Syracuse, New York and began playing lacrosse at the age of 10. As a coach, Shawn has coached at the youth, high school, and college levels.

 

Shawn attended Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, where he played Attack for the Golden Griffins’ men’s lacrosse team. He received his B.A. in International Relations and Political Science. Shawn then received his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas. After college, Shawn played lacrosse with the Breakers Lacrosse Club in Crofton, Maryland.

 

Shawn began his coaching career at Annandale High School in Annandale, Virginia. He coached the Annandale Atoms boys’ high school lacrosse team to the Virginia State Championship, which to this day, is Annandale’s lone lacrosse state title. Shawn then joined the men’s lacrosse coaching staff at Catholic University as an assistant coach and served as the Cardinals’ Offensive Coordinator.  

 

Shawn has also coached at the youth level with the Western Loudoun Lacrosse Club in Virginia. In addition to coaching, Shawn served as the Club Commissioner for the boys’ lacrosse program with the Western Loudoun Lacrosse Club.
